I thought about that, but I'm not sure how well the spring/shock will handle the underhood temperatures. We'll see.

I finished the cooling fan installation.


Here are some shots with all of the removable panels out.






I also found out I can use the Prelude brake booster and master cylinder with very minor modifications. A smaller nut on the rear port line, and rerouting the front port line, are all that is necessary. The Prelude master cylinder wonít bolt up to the GSR booster, but the boosters bolt up to the firewall the same. Iíve also made a cardboard model of the spare tire, so now Iím working on a mounting system for that up front.

so how is that fan going to work? you are pushing the hot air from the rear engine bar towards the rear quarter fender?? it has no escape tho... do you even need a fan? i mean you have plenty of space under the engine bay, i'm sure with some paneling (aerodynamic), you can draw the hot air out under the car.

The fan turns counter-clockwise in that view and pulls fresh air through the NACA duct in the side and blows across the exhaust manifold. Imagine a sunny, 95 degree day in stop-and-roll traffic. Aerodynamics are only affective while in motion.

Have you ever thought of doing theh2b conversion?

But still, what's the point? the engine is hot anyway, on a FWD integra, the fans turn on to cool the radiator -> cool coolant gets into the engine. i highly doubt the fan would do anything to a NA stock H22 engine at idle rpm...
