I think I'm going to hang on to it. Since it bolts together, I can make pilots and driver cups of different sizes for many other applications.

Thanks,

Post #DC2H22-54

Iíve been out of town quite a bit lately, which put me behind a little. However, the engine cover is finally complete.

This view shows the hinges, which Iím not yet sure about. I may have to redesign, or reinforce theseÖ weíll see.

The wooden prop rod is temporary. Iíll make a permanent one next time I have the hatch on and can determine exactly how far the hood should open.

This is pretty close to the open height limit, which shows pretty good access to the engine bay (compartment, room?Ö what is it?).

This is the latch from the inside. I used the back seat latch from the Prelude.

This shows the latch from the inside with the hood closed. I wonít put the seal on until final assembly.

This is roughly where the hood release will be located. I wonít know the exact location until the interior panel is installed. The release is also from the Prelude.

Next step is to mount the engine compartment fan, then the spare tire up front.

Thanks for your continued support and encouragement,
Dave

Wow. That engine bay (compartment? box? hole?) is amazing. The metal work is amazing.

At least you won't be cold in the car in the winter. I would not want to sit in trafffic in it in Houston . You might even be able to boil some eggs on that cover.

Amazing job so far anyway. I am a big fan.

great work, can't wait to see the finished product, and u know with a mid engine your car's gonna whip, are you thinking about upgrading the engine once everything is done, turbo, anything in particular to add to performance
