why no performance oriented exhaust? why run a cat? that piping doesnt even look big enough for a 2.2l engine

maybe he wants to drive it on the street without getting towed every time he goes by a cop?

and that tubing looks plenty big to me.

Wait the tubing is a short shot anyways. He probably wants to keep it legal and emissions legal. He can always put in a test pipe for the tracks anyways.

Eyefucking the pictures really isn't going to denote the actual ID of the tubing or as to whether or not it's a "performance" exhaust. The cat is for obvious reasons.

Dave, is the tubing on your car mandrel bent? It's kinda hard to tell, but there appears to be a change in OD, as if it were crushbent? Did you do the tubing yourself?

Yes, it's mandrel bent. I ordered the tubing pieces from JCWhitney, and bought the Thrush muffler and short transition piece (just after the muffler, from one to 2 tubes) from Advance. The rest are the stock Prelude parts. The biggest restriction (smallest ID) in the system is the flex joint, which is about 1-3/4" ID. The cat flanges are 1-15/16" ID and the tubing is 2" ID. I took 2, 1-1/4" 90's, cut and welded them together to make the transition from one to 2 tubes for the stock Prelude tips. All of the parts cost about $80. I wanted to use larger tubing, but I needed a 180 degree bend, and the 2" was the largest tube with a bend radius that would allow the cat and muffler to fit. As you can see, there's not much room left, considering engine movement, and I sure don't want it banging around back there. Hope this answers the exhaust questions.

Did you end up adding more weight to the rear of the car than you expected? It looks like there is a lot of steel back there.

Harness is on it's way back...wrong harness...I'll be finding out WTF is going on with it. 2a or what??

Boys and girls, I need a really big favor, but first, the side skirts. I finished installing them today, but I decided to go back on my original plan. As you know, the quarter panels are flared and the back of the lower portion (front of rear wheel well) sticks out about an inch from the original line. Because of this, I was planning to use the Prelude side skirts, which fit nicely length-wise and had the quarter panel flare built right in. They also have a flare in the front, but I was planning to modify the lower fender mounting bracket to flare it out to match. Well, the best laid plansÖ.. anyhow, in the interest of time and ease of modifications, I decided to tweak the original Integra skirts to match up with the quarter flare. It made the process much, much easier. Here are some pics.










Now for the big favorÖ Iíve looked everywhere and cannot find a pic of the area shown below with the side skirts installed. This area is at the bottom front of the rear wheel well, at the back of the skirt. As you can see, there is quite a gap between the skirt and rocker panel. I donít remember this gap being there originally, but if someone could please post a pic of their G3 showing this area, I would really appreciate it. Hopefully someone can get a pic without removing the rear wheel.
