SO SICK...i think the braket that your pionting to is one of the areas you can bolt up a bar to to stiffen up the rear of the car...i don't think it does much tho.

i think you should go for 50/50 weight distribution. Thats what the 350Z is anyway...it would help in high speed handling.

they are not for the trunk brace. the bracket is way too weak to support a brace. you have to mount directly to one of the rails.

Post #DC2H22-37

Finished the exhaust system today. I am very pleased with how it turned out. First pic shows the collector (B-pipe?), flex joint, cat, muffler, and tips.

Here it is in the car. This view is looking down standing at the rear of the car. The square tubing cross brace near the top will support the new floor.

Couple of views from underneath.

The rest are from a number of angles.

I love the way the tips fit nicely into the new depression I made in the bumper.

The whole system tucks up nicely out of view.

I used the stock Prelude tips.

This pic shows the fuel feed (to the fuel filter), and return lines. It also shows the vacuum line routed above the shock tower.

I forgot to include a pic of the clutch damper and hydraulic lines in a previous post. For reference, the starter is in the upper right corner. You can see the line running beneath the starter over to the slave cylinder.

This is the latest addition to the “required shop equipment” list!

And finally, the results of the bracket identification mystery are in and the winner is Child Seat Anchor Plate mounting point!

Thanks to all for your help!
Dave

Wow, that exhaust system looks very professionally done! Looks like it's gonna be a little noisy due to no resonator.
