I am just baffled by this.....I have never in my right mind thought of this type of project. I'll give ya ur props, cause this is insane. When is the projected date of finish? I know u probably have work and stuff so an estimation would be nice. Keep up the great work, if u ever need anything I am sure we are all willing to help yah out. I think we are all behind yah on this one, cause like i said this is an insane project. =)

Post #DC2H22-33

I’ve had a number of requests for some pics of the shop, so here’s a few…

HVAC…

ISE…

Custom made tool rest for bench grinder…

Our British friends may recognize this Myford lathe. The brass hammer was the first thing I made with it.

Parts storage…

I needed a tee for the heater core feed line, so I practiced aluminum welding with a torch on the piece on the left. The finished tee is on the right.

I converted a DeWalt drill case into a nice brief case for my documentation.

I’m trying to restore my IAB vacuum tank. The hose barbs were broken off and so far I’ve made one from brass threaded into the tank. Still scratching my head on the other barb, as there’s just not enough material there to thread into. I really need another one.

Thanks for your interest!
Dave

Your very lucky to have all of those tools at your disposal. I'm sure you worked hard for it all just seeing your work ethic that's evident in your project.

Hey Brian...you ain't-a-kidin' there...I'd hate to think I had to replace one on an installed engine...then Honda has the control valve screwed to the tank...and you can't get to the screw while the tank is bolted to the manifold...so I know what you mean.
