I wanted to get an idea of what it be like so I made a MR Integra R on GT3. Had to use an S2000 engine. I know its just a game but it handled awesome and steered really well. Looking good BTW.

Just out of curiousity...when this all completed, let us know when you take this to a track event. I'd love to make it to the same event to check it out. I was at an event last year where that MI h22 MR Del Sol showed up for the first time, pretty cool creation.

Post #DC2H22-28

This pic shows the transitions I made out of foam for the heater box. The one on the left (front of the box) feeds the defrost duct, the other feeds the center and side ducts in the dash.

I spent a few days working on the design for the shifter mechanism, taking measurements, searching for parts, analyzing design details vs. parts availability, etc. I still haven't made a final decision yet on which way to go. I'd like to use the stock Prelude shift cables, but unless I can come up with a clever mounting system, I'm afraid they are too short. In the mean time, while I was pondering the shifter, I decided to go ahead and make the battery mount. The battery will be mounted behind the bumper, just ahead of the right front tire. Itís not yet complete, as I have more bracing to do, but here are some pics.

Thanks to everyone for your continued support!
Dave

Interesting battery location when you have the entire engine bay sitting there empty. I assume it's for corner weighting purposes...

what is the reason for putting the battery in that location? i would think that it would slide out or something else could happen for it being in that location. if you dont mind, could you explain why its there? i just want to because im curious

that battery location looks like it will be a PITA to get to if needed. only other reason I could see is for security purposes.

that's the same idea we used on my friend's FI neon. We just bought a battery tray and made it fit inside the fender.
