I am just posting to bookmark this bad boy. I spent the better part of my day reading all the posts. This is an amazing build. I wish I had the kind of technical know-how to tackle a project like this. Thanks for showing us how it can be done Dave, you rock.

What is really amazing to me is not only the project itself but the pace at which it's moving along. This is a guy who really know's what he's doing. Good job! and Good luck! even though you dont need it.

Post #DC2H22-24

I finally got around to scaling the car this afternoon. The results are a little off from what Iíd hoped, but not way off. It will depend on how much the other equipment to be installed affects the weight distribution. As it sits with the engine, empty fuel tank, and dash, the weight distribution is 42/58. I set the battery in the right front corner as far forward as it would go and the distribution was 43/57, which isnít too far off the 45/55 goal. I could go with a fuel cell in the nose, but Iím afraid that would bring the distribution too far forward. Here are some pics on the scales in Dadís garage.






This pic shows the weights. Iíve got about 350lbs. of headroom to stay in the 2500 lb. total weight range. Cross weight of 51% doesnít mean anything without me in the car. All that will be adjustable with coilovers. Left side is about 75 lbs. heavy, as youíd expect.
