Dave, did the dragon run cause any issues to arise with the car?? Something that needs to be changed?

Post #DC2H22-92

Many special thanks to Steve (dyingwish) from Pittsburgh, PA for sending this excellent condition passenger side sun visor and grab handle hole covers. He also sent some grab handle end caps, but I decided to install the hole covers instead. What a guy!

Cheers!
Dave

You're out on a pretty good limb there Masood. The reason I haven't posted any pics of the entire car is because I wanted something special to offer magazines. Honda Tuning appreciated that, and has committed to doing an article.

For those of you who took pictures at the Dragon Run, I very much appreciate your understanding for not posting pics of the entire car, however feel free to post close-ups.

Thank you all very much for your generosity and support!

Dave, how does the driving experience compare with both your previous NSX and MR2? I'm sure it probably won't be as fast as the NSX but how does it handle comparatively? Can you control the understeer as easy as the NSX by countering it with oversteer? Please leave us your feedback and thoughts on the completed product.

With great interest,

Josh

It is not unlike the NSX, as far as handling is concerned, but as you suspect, it is not as fast. Compared to the MR2, it is very stable. The MR2 has a shorter wheelbase and is much "twitchier". I'm still developing the suspension, but I can tell you, the Koni yellows and 400lb./in. Eibachs ride and handle beautifully. There is no harshness in the ride at all, just a smooth firmness that feels great.

Thanks,
Dave

As a passenger in said car, i would have suggested installation of the "oh sh!t" handles, gotta give your passenger's something to hold on to while you ATTACK those twisty turns

Good question Muska! I drove the car the hardest I had to date while giving Steve a ride, and I still have tire rub on the front. Hitting bumps with high side loads causes the outside wheel to rub inside the fender lip. I'm still working on ride heights and realize I'm going to have to either raise the front and rear, or radius the front fenders.

Thanks,
Dave

Congratulations, Dave. I know how great it feels getting into a magazine... except I'm a journalist, so we're in two different realms of publication. Again, great work and I can't wait to catch that issue of H-T!

Dave, I hope they decide to put you on the cover. An article is fine but your hard work deserves to be on the cover. If I didn't know about this and saw "Crazy Mid-Engine RWD Conversion Integra" on the front of H-T I would definatly pick it up.

I am curious if you are going to change that fact.

Is it likely you will go to the next Dragon run?

Congrats on getting a possible article in H-T (they better give you the cover).
Going off topic here but thumbs up to H-T for writing a great article on Acura's 20th anniversary and a great great article on all generations of the Integra in their Sept issue.
