Mike, your question is timely! I've been trying to find someone to sell me some insurance, and I can get it insured for an appraised amount. What I'm looking for now is someone who can write an appraisal for it, taking the intangible value into consideration. Any recommendations?

Thanks,
Dave

As far as getting it appraised...talk to a car dealership, they appraise cars all the time. See if you can ask them to appraise the car for a fee.

i work at a dealership and appraise cars everyday, thing is unfortunately is that i don't see a dealership appreciating (appraising) your masterpiece for whats its worth intrinsicly speaking. honestly, it will most likely be appraised for less than a 94 gsr is worth because of the modifications........reguardless of what was put into it. I would say your best bet would be to gather a series of bids on the car so that an insurance has something to base the value on. Really a car, especially a used car is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. In your case that might be a whole lot, so that will show the true value of the car.

Hey Alden, I appreciate your response. The insurance agent I talked to will, at least, insure it for what I've spent to build it. An offer to purchase is an appraisal, as you say, but unless it's from a licensed appraiser, it's just an offer, and not something I could use to claim a value. I'll probably have to insure it for as much as I can, and then have it appraised after it's on the road and has hopefully built some recognized intangible value.

Thanks,
Dave

Post #DC2H22-77

More final assembly…

These shots show the quarter panel seals made with expandable foam. The large black plastic tube is like a conduit and carries wiring and cables over the wheel well.

Nothing passes over the wheel well on the right side. The seals are about 2” thick and seal at the top against the rear corner of the quarter window. The C pillars are open for the sunroof drain tubes and hatch wiring harness.

Cheers!
Dave

Any more information regarding your power to manual steering rack? For example, is that silver ring around the middle where your pipe clamp is?

A little confused about "connecting the fluid inlets in rack with tubing"

Any information would be appreciated.

You are making this car comfortable also, things like the cruise control, windshield washer, a/c, etc i would just leave off. Actually i'd gut it and make it a racecar, but guess you want the comfort aspect to be there. Great work and good to see that you are finally in the final assembley stages.
