Default Harbor Freight Compression Tester Worth Buying or No?

Im trying to decide between getting a turbo or a B20 swap, with the turbo being my preference at this point. Before I get my hopes up, Im guessing I need to do a compression test.

Im going to Harbor Freight on my lunch break. I've seen a compression tester there before.

1. Is it worth buying?
2. Does Advance Auto borrow these out?
3. Any other suggestions?

ps. Im asking bc I bought a brake hand bleeder tool from there not too long ago and it was a fail.

Nothing wrong with of the HF tools. the Compression tool is more used for a general idea.

I have used mine a few times without any problems. It came in a red plastic box with several different fittings. Definitely worth the price imo.

I know that Autozone rents them out. I ended up just keeping mine since its just a good cheap tool to have around.

I have had very good luck with tools I have bought from Harbor Freight. If you look up the compression tester on there website it will have customer reviews on products.

Atleast were im at, you can rent a compression tester for free from Oreilly's for 48 hours, you just put a payment of the tool down when you take it and you get 100% of it back, good deal! Theres videos on youtube on how to do a compression test, heres my favorite:
