I was wondering if anyone knows what's wrong with my car. I got a 2000 LS and like every big bump like where two roads meet, my cd player skips, sometimes for up to around 8 seconds. I have a JVC deck along with 2 12 inch infinitys and i cant figure out the problem. Anyone have any ideas?

how old is the radio? sounds like the laser is out of alignment. Also sounds like its time for a new cd player.

one thing you can check though is the mounting kit. Make sure it is solid. If it is bouncing around that could cause the player to skip more often

I've noticed that the cd makes a big difference on the skipping.

Harness is on it's way back...wrong harness...I'll be finding out WTF is going on with it. 2a or what??

Burnt ones skip on the slightest bump. Store bought rarely skip. Thats my experience.

Could be a problem with the CD player but it's normal for most CD players to skip when you hit a decent size bump. Even my Alpine skips sometimes.
