Question Greddy SE Exhaust + Turbo?

Hi I was planning on buying the greddy Spectrum Elite exhaust for my 94 DB8 GSR. I was wondering if this would be too restricting for when we add a turbo kit to the build. The only thing i was concerned about was exhaust flow and i was just wondering if anyone had any experience with this. Thanks.

Two main questions to be concerned with on an exhaust with a FI set-up. 1) Piping size and 2) straight through or chambered muffler(s).

If it is straight through (Which I doubt) and it is 2.5 inch piping, it could still support around 250 WHP. Plus or minus some ponies.

If it i chambered then I would think it would lower that number a tad.. but it all depends on how the muffler is designed. Being a fairly quiet exhaust, I would bet the muffler is pretty "muffled", but I could be wrong.

Another possibility is getting the muffler replaced with a straight through style muffler when the time for the turbo build comes.

yeah im pretty sure it is chambered. I was just wondering if there was a rule of thumb for that sort of thing. thanks man that actually helped alot. i might go with skunk or buddy club now.
maybe the mega power r or mega power rr
any recomendations?

You could (depending on the turbo you are using?) probably still get to 220 or 230 WHP with a reasonable amount of boost. But anymore than that and I would go 3 inch anyway. I believe the S2 Mega Power RR comes in a three inch version? That'd be nice, but spendy.

Check out this place: Results for Car Exhaust:Acura:94-01 Acura Integra

They offer full 2.5 inch and 3 inch piping kits, included are hangers and clamps (eases the install). You can also add on resonator or muffler options. The only downside to this place is you will still need some help from your local exhaust guy, but very minimal and shouldn't cost much.

The kits with muffler would be around 500 installed, which isn't bad for what you get.

Wow that is a pretty solid deal. I appreciate the legitimate answers instead of soul crushing sarcasm for once. The exhaust will be a little further down the line now since the car isnt my dd. i really appreciate the help though, I am glad i know for later.

No problem man, gotta keep that good spirit around TI. I have learned so much forum this site and like helpin people when I can.

And even that system with a turbo and just a muffler, might not sound bad. It may not need a resonator (my system won't have one heh).

yeah i honestly couldve waited to ask this question but i mean it is never a bad time to learn. I am replacing the internals to give more reliability so we are going to cross that bridge when we come to it. JE pistons and eagle rods and the like.

Another option is an electronic exhaust cutout

yeah my friend was telling me about those! i might actually do that because im from missouri and if your car is older then 1995 it dosent have to pass any SMOG tests

setup could vary but my uncle had a gsr turbo t3/t4 60trim, 3 inch downpipe bottle neck to a greedy ti catback exhaust which is 60mm. I also told him the same thing all of them were telling you that its gonna be too restrictive and hes not gonna make power. Car was tune by chad at ctr motorsports and it made 299 whp and 199lb tq with 11.5lbs with a comp of 9.5.1. Damn exhaust was hella quiet compare to my full 3inch staight through exhaust. His graph was so nice tq was carry from vtec at 5500 all the way to redline at 8k. Tq was flat all the way through. After that i learn my lesson lol, sure he could had made more power with a 2.5 or 3 inch exhaust but he want a quiet exhaust and he got it.
