Replace alternato

So ive had to replace my alternator however i cant get the new one to slide into the lower alternator bracket. Is there something I'm missing?

Checking the new alternator with the old one the mounting points are the same and the same size. I don't know what to do at this point.

Thanks for your help!

Usually what happens is the dowel is moved too far inward. Take a small hammer or something to tap it back out so the alternator can slide in. Due to its location you might have to use a flash light and some elbow grease to get it done.

Once the alternator is in place the bolt will tighten the dowel back into place. Good luck.

Its been forever since I've been on here! And don't PM me as I intend to keep my box full so I don't get any annoying PM's!
