If my intake manifold is leaking or cracked, could it be the cause of my car (when cold) to hesitate so much as to not accelerate at all when I am pressing the gas? It doesn't hesitate after 2 minutes of warming up/easy driving. Car drives normally when the car is warmed up. No hesitation. I have a 99 integra LS.
A cracked intake manifold is a bad thing, and your ECU is more than likely trying to compensate the extra air, by adding more fuel. I'm surprised you didn't mention a MIL light being illuminated.
I do have a check engine light. Code p0171b. Bank 1 system too lean. I'm thinking its a vacuum leak or it's the intake manifold. Previous owner said he had a shop cement the intake manifold.
I had an issue with hesitation after I installed a skunk2 intake manifold. Turns out I was just low on oil.
