yeah its a life time warranty, I had it done last year to my 1997, went to the dealership, they had a look at it, and ordered the part and set up an appointment to get the seat belt replaced under warranty
when i JUST brought my DB8 to the "upscale" acura in Annapolis MD they told me:
to come back to set an appointment to LOOK at it and go from there.
ask him just to glance now and then set an appointment to fill out warranty info later.
on our way out he said "oh ill be right out. " im guessing after a quick talk with his manager, he reappeared.
walked to the car. and pulled the WORST seat belt. (which wont go back in at all, and actually got left outside my car one day and ATE my blade up!!!!) he clicked it into the bottom part, pulled a little and said
"NOPE. only if they dont latch." i said
"so thats ALLLL they look for?" he said
"yes, you wanted me to look, and i did!"
me:"well that seems a little vague and you could have told me that when i explained to you for 20 mins inside."
him:"i cant think of EVERYTHING at EVERYTIME... IM DONE WITH YOU"
me:" thats fine you fat piece of [doo doo]"
him:"IM TELLING HIM YOU SAID THAT!!"
so i went back in a talked to the manager, told him that his employee is an old grumpy prick and im going to get AS MANY TEGGYS AS I CAN TO FLOOD ACURA WITH WARRANTY CLAIMS!
Can we start a thread to organize and/or show the number of people who are willing to confront acura about this SAFETY ISSUE?
me doing this alone seems a little like david vs. Goliath
