The ride:
97 integra gs b18b auto trans. mods: jdm b18b auto trans,b18b1 engine,4-1 headers,megan 2 1/2 muffler,ngk iridium ix spark plugs,megan chasis tie bar,beaks lower rear tie bar. The problem: clunking/knocking/clicking nosie. The story: so last nite i was driving on the hwy for 2 1/2 miles or so with no problem at all...then when i exited the hwy to go home i noticed a werid sound coming from the front of my car as if i had a flat tire so i pulled over got out to check and nothing...hmm...continued driving home with the nosie becoming louder as i let of the gas....so today i checked it out my tires are ok so i took it on test drive and samething but this time i notice it coming from th driver side and i an feel it in the wheel...my engine seems fine so im thinking cv half shaft/axle??? Thanks for all help in advance!!! |

Have you tried searching and see if their symptoms are similar to yours?
Sounds like it could be your axle?

Check the drivers side axle for torn boots. If either the inner or, more likely, the outter boots are torn, then the noise is mostly like due to a bad cv axle
